The Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences Big Thinking Summit: Inflection Point will be held from June 9 to 11, 2026 at the Edmonton Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The Big Thinking Summit: Inflection Point will bring the humanities and social sciences (HSS) to the forefront. CAG/CARTO 2026 Conference

2026 Distinguished Emerging Scholar in African Geography

We are thrilled to share the recent achievements of fellow CAG member,  Dr. Elmond Bandauko. Dr. Bandauko is an Assistant Professor of Human Geography at the University of Alberta and was recently recognized as the 2026 Distinguished Emerging Scholar in African Geography by the Africa Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers, for outstanding contributions to scholarship on African Geography.
