RGQ Annual Regional Meeting
For its 2026 congress, the RGQ is collaborating with the Quebec Association for Social Studies Education (AQEUS) and the Association for Science and Technology Education in Quebec (AESTQ) to bring us together in person in Sherbrooke. This year’s objective is to offer an event that fosters dialogue among the various stakeholders in academic, professional, and, most notably, school geography. With the current climate of uncertainty in mind, we invite geographers from all backgrounds to submit an individual presentation, a panel discussion, or a participatory workshop, which can both showcase your work and share your concerns related to geography education in Quebec.
In addition to the geographers who attended our previous events, this year we are welcoming teachers primarily from secondary schools (in social studies or science and technology, the two disciplines that incorporate geographical concepts), but also from elementary and college levels. This gathering will also offer the opportunity to participate in a field trip and attend a variety of presentations. If you believe your work could inspire social studies or science and technology teachers to enrich their courses, this year’s event is for you!
